The Yavapai College women’s soccer team heads to Yuma this week to take on the Arizona Western College Matadors, before returning home for a matchup with the Scottsdale Community College Fighting Artichokes.
Soccer begins on Thursday, September 1, when the Roughriders hit the road for a 7 p.m. contest with the Matadors in Yuma, Arizona. After an off day, YC hosts Scottsdale at 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, at Mountain Valley Park in Prescott Valley, Arizona.
Both matches are able to be streamed on GoRoughriders.com/Live with Saturday’s matchup available for purchase.
Individual ticket prices for Saturday’s match are as follows: $7 for adults, $5 for non-YC students, veterans and senior citizens and FREE for YC students, staff and faculty and children ages six-and-under.

Arizona Western is currently receiving votes in the NJCAA DI Women’s Soccer Rankings after defeating the College of Southern Nevada 17-1 in its first contest of the year.
The Fighting Artichokes
Scottsdale is ranked No. 13 in the country with a 2-0 record that includes a 3-2 victory over Ottawa (JV) and 2-0 victory over Mesa. The Fighting Artichokes will also take on GateWay before traveling to Prescott.
After earning a 3-1 victory over the College of Southern Nevada Coyotes in its season opener, YC has dropped contests to No. 2-ranked Pima (1-0 final) and Western Wyoming (3-0 final) and heads into its week of soccer with a 1-2 record.
