 YC Women’s Basketball Adds Six To 2022-23 Roster

Since signing Hollie Dalton on March 31, the Yavapai College women’s basketball team has continued to build its roster and is excited to announce that six more student-athletes have signed their NJCAA Letter of Intent to continue their athletic and academic careers at Yavapai College.

Wynter Huskie

High School: Huskie will graduate from Coconino High School in May of 2022. As a senior, she earned First-Team All-Region honors and helped lead her team to a 14-10 record and playoff appearance. As a junior, she earned Second-Team All-Region honors and helped lead her team to an 11-4 record. 

Personal: Huskie was born in Flagstaff, Arizona, on December 12, 2003. Her hobbies include riding horses, camping, fishing and anything outdoors. She plans to earn her associates degree in business and in the future, plans to major in architecture. 

Carmichael on Huskie: “Wynter is a very smart point guard with good court vision. She is also a very good decision maker and defender.” 

Chloe Lobmeyer

High School: Lobmeyer will graduate from Willow Canyon High School in May of 2022. She was a part of a team that went 10-0 in region play while earning Region Player of the Year and First-Team All-Region honors. 

Personal: Lobmeyer was born in Lakin, Kansas, on September 10, 2004. Her hobbies include weight lifting and she plans to earn her associates degree in graphic design. 

Carmichael on Lobmeyer: “Chloe is so strong and she is a powerful rebounder. She has so much potential to be a force in the low block. I can’t wait to get her started on her JUCO journey.”

Brooklyn Wiltbank

High School: Wiltbank will graduate from Lehi High School in May of 2022. As a senior, her team made it to the state finals after making it to the semi-finals during her sophomore and junior seasons. 

Personal: Wiltbank was born in Orem, Utah, on April 11, 2004. Her hobbies include the following sports: basketball, softball, pickleball, spike ball and nine square in addition to four wheeling, camping, hammocking, boating, fishing and hiking. 

Carmichael on Wiltbank: “Brooklyn brings that ‘coach on the floor’ skill set. She is a good defender, ball handler and shooter. I’m very excited about getting B-Dub on the floor and running the offense.”

Tera Smith

High School: Smith will graduate from Lehi High School in May of 2022. As a senior, she helped lead her team to a runner-up finish in the state tournament, earned All-State Honorable-Mention honors and led her team in blocks and FT%. 

Personal: Smith was born in Lehi, Utah, on May 17, 2004. Her hobbies include hanging out with her friends, paddle boarding and volleyball. 

Carmichael on Smith: “Tera is an excellent shooter. She can defend the perimeter and the post and is a very good team defender.”

Tanniya Uchida

High School: Uchida graduated from Konawaena High School in May of 2019 and was a three-time state champion there. 

Personal: Uchida was born in Kealakekua, Hawaii, on November 21, 2001. Her hobbies include art and gaming and in the future, she plans to study computer networking. 

Carmichael on Uchida: “Tanniya can just flat-out shoot the ball, she is also a very creative play-maker and brings some speed to our roster.”

Megan Kirchhardt

High School: Kirchhardt will graduate from Corona Del Sol High School in May of 2022. As a senior, she helped lead the team to the playoffs and its best record in six years, tallying 13 wins on the season. Individually, Kirchhardt has earned Tempe All-City and First-Team All-Region honors three times each in addition to 2022 Nike All-Tournament Team honors.

Personal: Kirchhardt was born in Scottsdale, Arizona, on December 19, 2003. Her hobbies include traveling, hanging out with her friends and family and shopping. She plans to earn her associates degree in business and in the future, plans to major in finance. 

Carmichael on Kirchhardt: “Megan has great fundamentals. She can handle the ball, pass it and shoot it very well. She’s a real team player and works very hard on every possession.”
