YAVAPAI COUNTY SHERIFF’S K9 UNIT CONFISCATES 56,000 FENTANYL PILLS DURING TRAFFIC STOP
A YCSO K-9 unit conducted a traffic violation stop of a vehicle on I-40 eastbound last night, only to find 56,000 fentanyl pills. During a search based on the alert of the K9., the deputy located 3 fire extinguishers in the vehicle.

Based on the interviews with the occupant and suspicious circumstances, the Deputy removed the extinguishers from the vehicle. He then deployed his K9 partner Maximus who “alerted” to the odor of narcotics.
