Welcome New Bear & Dragon Tiny Cafe

Husband and wife owned and operated by Amanda and Chris Adam, and sitting across from the plaza in downtown Prescott, Bear & Dragon Tiny Café has been open since June this year. Serving fine coffee and paninis out of a built-out aluminum stock trailer, guests can step inside and experience the adorable tiny café from the inside, setting it apart from other mobile food units. There is also a little courtyard with a picnic table for guests, and as they sit on the Plaza Courtyard across from the square, it also makes for an ideal launch point for a picnic on the Courthouse grass.

Bear & Dragon serves small-batch coffee roasted right here in Northern Arizona – a brand called Firecreek Coffee. The owner of Firecreek sources his own beans and deals directly with farmers. Bear & Dragon also primarily use Holy Kakow syrup brand, a small business owned entity, producing handmade, organic syrups and chocolate sauce. Bear & Dragon make some of their own syrups, too, including the Ponderosa Pine Syrup, a hallmark flavor and recipe from Firecreek Coffee Company.

The story-book themed café makes some great paninis, too, such as the Griz, a crowd favorite: pesto, mozzarella, cheddar, turkey, and bacon are pressed in the panini inside a hearty, crusty ciabatta. For breakfast they have some of the best avocado toasts you’ll find anywhere: crusty ciabatta loaves are grilled until crispy on the outside and served open-faced. There’s Bjorn’s Breakfast with pesto, smashed avocado, chopped tomato, bacon, and micro-greens. They also have vegetarian and vegan options, as well as gluten free offerings. A vegan and gluten free combo is a scrumptious salad called the Shire: a generous portion of arugula, avocado, tomato, pine nuts, and finished with Goddess Dressing.

Bear & Dragon’s hours are Tuesday-Friday, 7:30 am – 2:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm, and closed Sunday and Monday. You can find them online at BearDragon.Cafe, as well as on Facebook (bearanddragoncafe) and Instagram (bear.and.dragon). They are located next door to the Chamber of Commerce on Goodwin and Montezuma.
