    TEEN ARRESTED FOR AUTO BURGLARY IN PRESCOTT VALLEY

    On Saturday, March 13, 2021, at about 11:30 pm, the Prescott Valley Police Department was notified of citizens at a residence in the 8000 block of Dana Drive who detained a local teen they caught burglarizing their vehicle. Once Police arrived at the residence, the teen admitted to burglarizing the vehicle at the location as well as several others in the area. The teen, a 15- year-old male from Prescott Valley, who was already on probation for auto burglary, was booked into the Juvenile Justice Center for related charges. The investigation is ongoing. The Prescott Valley Police Department would like to remind citizens to deter crimes of opportunity by would-be criminals by keeping their vehicles locked, keeping their valuables secured and out of public view, and notifying police of suspicious persons and vehicles.
