Remembering Angels Raises $35,000 for YRMC BreastCare Center

We were happy to be apart of a special moment with Will A. Owner of Los Pinos. This event is more than just raising money, it is sorta a “right of passage”. When Will lost his wife due to Breast Cancer he voiced that he will always remember her and he felt compelled to do it in a way that will help MANY! To this day he is very active in this foundation and will continue to do it over and over. We appreciate you and your team for what you accomplished! -TPT

On Thursday, January 14, members of the Remembering Angels Event Committee gathered to present a check in the amount of $35,000 to the Yavapai Regional Medical Center (YRMC) Foundation. These funds, raised in honor of all breast cancer patients and their families, will go to support YRMC’s BreastCare Center in Prescott Valley. At the Committee’s request, 100% of funds raised will be used to provide diagnostic and treatment services and essential health supports for vulnerable patients who do not qualify for other programs and community services.  Examples include transportation, home cleaning, food vouchers, wigs, personal and family counseling, and other basic needs.

Remembering Angels was a daylong celebration cohosted by Los Pinos Mexican Restaurant and Summit 4X4 Company. This was the second tribute event hosted in memory of Toni Aldaco, the late wife of Los Pinos’ owner Will Aldaco.  Together with the original Remembering Toni event in 2018, these events have generated more than $55,000 in support for the Center. In accepting this year’s donation, YRMC Foundation Chair Dave Barrett said, “We very grateful for the Committee’s tremendous effort and for our community’s generous support. There is an act of kindness behind each and every one of the dollars donated. We are very thankful.”
