On Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at 3:15 PM, a Prescott Valley Police Officer observed a reckless driver hit a child riding a bicycle in the crosswalk at Robert Road and Loos Drive. The child, fortunately, suffered no injuries. The officer stopped and detained 18-year-old Prescott Valley resident, Jordyn Shope, and found her to be driving on a suspended license with no car registration or insurance.
While officers investigated the incident, Shope was seated in the back seat of a patrol car. When her car was towed from the scene, Shope spit at the officers and did over $1000 damage to the patrol car. Shope was booked for felony criminal damage and misdemeanor reckless driving.
Remember, driving faster can cause disaster!
