PPD Needs Your Help Finding Missing Vulnerable Adult

Prescott Police, with the assistance from Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Forest Patrol and Search and Rescue Teams, have continued to search for Terry Wayne Holmes who was reported missing since Monday, April 11th, at approximately 4:00 PM. Unfortunately, the search for Mr. Holmes has been unsuccessful to this point. It is believed that Mr. Holmes walked away from his place of residence at Camp Yavapines in an unknown direction and has not been seen or heard from since.

Search crews initially concentrated their efforts on the large area that encompasses Camp Yavapines, to include the many out-buildings on the property. Search crews have since widened their efforts to the trails that lead from the Camp into National Forest. Use of ground search techniques, K-9 crews, along with the support of unmanned ariel vehicles equipped with thermal cameras, have thus far been unsuccessful.

Mr. Holmes is a 72-year-old Caucasian male described as 5’11” tall and weighing approximately 215 lbs. with a grey hair and beard. He was seen wearing blue jeans, a blue long-sleeved plaid shirt, hiking boots and a brown baseball cap. 

Anyone who may have seen Mr. Holmes or has any information regarding his whereabouts is encouraged to call the Prescott Police Department at 928-777-1988 or Dispatch at 928-445-3131.

The Prescott Police Department is attempting to locate Terry Wayne Holmes, a 72 year-old male who was last seen on Monday, April 11, 2022 at about 4:00 PM at Camp Yavapines, 2999 Iron Springs Road. 

On April 12th at approximately 11:15 AM Prescott Police Officers responded to Camp Yavapines regarding a missing person. Information given to Officers was  that Holmes had unexpectedly walked away from the camp and was last seen  near the maintenance garage at about 4 PM. Holmes is believed to be on foot as he left his vehicle and keys at his residence. Holmes has no known serious medical conditions.  

Holmes is described as a medium build C/M, 5’11”, 215 lbs with grey hair, a grey  beard and wearing glasses. Holmes was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue long-sleeved plaid shirt, hiking boots and a brown baseball cap. He has been entered into the national and statewide systems as a missing or endangered person.  

Members of the Prescott Police Department with the assistance of the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Search & Rescue Team will continue this investigation and requests that anyone with information please call the Prescott Police Department at 928-777-1988 or Dispatch at 928-445-3131.
