    Four Shillings Short, the husband/wife duo of Aodh Og O’Tuama from Cork, Ireland and Christy Martin from California, come to the Elks elegant Crystal Ballroom for a Folk Sessions concert on Thursday, November 18.     Four Shillings Short have been performing together since 1995. Independent folk-artists with 12 recordings, they tour in the US and Ireland, perform 150 concerts a year and live as the Troubadours of old traveling from town to town performing at music festivals, theatres & performing arts centers, folk & historic societies, libraries, museums, and schools. Their stage contains Mountain Dulcimers, Sitars, and all manner of percussion, and their set is “…as multi-cultural as a U.N. meeting.” ALBUQUERQUE JOURNAL

    The Fare Thee Wells feature Tom and Christa Agostino and Meg Bohrman. They have been performing throughout Arizona, opening for artists like Tom Chapin, Carrie Rodriguez, and Acoustic Eidolon. Tom, the “Godfather of Folk”- Daily Courier, was the host of the long-running radio show, The Folk Sessions on Prescott Public Radio.

    The Folk Sessions may well be one of the most eclectic music organizations in America. Broadcast throughout Central & Northern Arizona for 18 years on the KJAZZ Radio Network and Prescott Public Radio, part of the Arizona Community Radio Network, the Folk Sessions has established a loyal following, producing quality radio programs and live concerts.

    The Elks Performing Arts Center is Prescott’s newest and most up-to-date facility for the practice of the dance and music disciplines. It also has on the third floor, two event halls for meetings, parties, weddings, or other special events.
