This program is just one component of a larger outreach effort to bridge the gap between our teen community and law enforcement. This program gives participants an insider’s look at what it is like to be a police officer. Our kids leave the academy state certified in first aid, which is good for two years. The program is designed to be interactive and engaging. It is the goal of this program to engage teens as well as equip them to be leaders in their social groups and our community.

Applications for the academy are available online at under the police button, click on the drop-down for community programs and select the Youth Police Academy. There is a link there to the application. Applications can also be picked up at the station lobby.  Those selected to participate will be notified before July 2nd, 2021. Please get them in as soon as possible. We don’t want anyone to miss out on this exciting opportunity.

To our local businesses, we need your help! We are asking for donations from the business community in the form of cash sponsorships, water, and nutritious snacks during the five days to assist us in providing an outstanding leadership experience for our kids. Our sponsors will be advertised on our printed material and town social media. These sponsors will also be recognized for their contributions to this program.

Please make checks payable to “Prescott Valley Police Foundation” with Youth Academy on the memo line. 100% of your donations will go to this program. Donations can be dropped off at the station or you can contact CPO Jodi Mullins at 928 772 5164 to make arrangements. This is a great way to make a small contribution that can have larger benefits for our community and our future! Thank you in advance for partnering with us for our kids.
