Stroll down to the Firehouse Plaza and get yourself a great salad or sandwich at the Olde World Bakery, located at 220 W. Goodwin St., Suite #1. They open at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast offering quiche that is baked daily, along with treats and bread made from scratch using only the best wholesome ingredients. The owner, Daniel Pacheco, has been in the bakery business for 35 years coming to Prescott from Austin, Texas.
This is a great place for lunch, where they serve a variety of salads, homemade soups, and hot-pressed Panini sandwiches. You can order half or whole sandwiches. There are a few choices for the vegetarian as well, black bean burritos, and croissants filled with spinach and cheese. A variety of salads include taco, Greek, antipasto, chef, and much more. The staff is friendly and personable; it is like strolling into a European café where you can relax and eat some good food.
Do they have gluten-free options? Be sure to ask about their daily GF specials. They also offer a seasonal rotation of various other sweets and treats! Made from scratch cinnamon rolls, scones, muffins, lemon bars, chocolate croissants, savory stuffed croissants, whole wheat chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter cookies, banana bread, and coconut macaroons. Certainly, a yummy place to stop by and try some delicious treats! COFFEE? Yes, they serve Firehouse Coffee brewed fresh every day.
