34-year-old Prescott Valley Man Seriously Injured

    On Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at approximately 2:41 PM Prescott Police Officers responded to the intersection of State Route 69 and Walker Rd. regarding a collision involving multiple vehicles.

    Officers learned a 34-year-old Prescott Valley man was traveling eastbound towards Prescott Valley when his white GMC pickup collided with other vehicles.  The pickup finally came to rest after striking the traffic signal at this intersection.

    The driver sustained significant, but non-life-threatening injuries and was flown to a Phoenix-area hospital.  The driver did not exhibit any signs of alcohol or drug impairment.  The collision is believed to be a result of a medical emergency.  At this time, his current condition is listed as serious, but stable.  

    His passenger, a 34-year old Prescott Valley man was transported by ambulance to Yavapai Regional Medical Center for minor injuries, including a broken arm.  No other injuries were reported.

    Portions of the highway were closed for approximately three hours while debris was removed and repairs were made to the traffic signal.
