On Tuesday, March 2, 2021, the Prescott Elks Lodge #330 honored Lead Police Officer Shean Hilton with their Prescott Police Department Officer of the Year Award for 2020. LPO Hilton was nominated for the work that he has done over the last year as the Training and Recruiting Officer for the Department. His duties include all training for-sworn and non-sworn members of the Department as well as recruiting and background investigations. LPO Hilton serves many roles and does all of them with dedication, loyalty, and professionalism.
During the pandemic, LPO Hilton was responsible to maintain our connection with the community during a very difficult time. He successfully hosted several Facebook live videos aimed at the youth of our community which were very popular and provided a nice break for our community with at-home schooling. He was a driving force behind our Shop with Cop event and with his leadership, we were able to bring Christmas to over 65 children who otherwise may not have had a Christmas. LPO Hilton serves as one of the Public Information Officers for the Department and is very active with our social media campaign as another way to stay connected to our community.
LPO Hilton takes pride in his work and is an outstanding representative of the Prescott Police Department. He has earned the respect of his peers, the community and has proven to be a great asset to the City of Prescott. We could not be more proud of the man he is the police officer he has become. Interim Police Chief Amy Bonney presented the award to LPO Hilton as he was unable to attend the ceremony hosted by the Prescott Elks Lodge #330 on March 9, 2021. The Prescott Police Department would like to thank the Prescott Elks Lodge #330 for honor LPO Hilton and many other first responders in our area. We are very fortunate to have community support.
