Clark Tenney Selected By Council to Serve in
Seat Vacated by Billie Orr
PRESCOTT, AZ (February 16, 2021) – With a 6-0 vote, Prescott City Council today selected Clark Tenney to serve in the seat that was vacated by Billie Orr on January 19, 2021. Mr. Tenney will serve the remainder of the term, until November 2023.
Clark Tenney was sworn in immediately following the selection meeting and will attend his first City Council meeting on Tuesday, February 23. Mr. Tenney is a 30+ year resident of Prescott and serves as Assistant Principal at Prescott High School.
The other finalists who interviewed with Council were:
Attorney Andre Carman was a named finalist but withdrew prior to the Council meeting.
Mayor Greg Mengarelli said that he welcomes Mr. Tenney’s service on City Council. The Mayor thanked the finalists and all of the applicants for their desire to serve the City. He also thanked the public for their input.
In expressing his support for Mr. Tenney, Mayor Mengarelli said, “It was important to me that the successful candidate emulate the values of former Councilwoman Billie Orr. I believe Clark Tenney does that, and that he will make an excellent addition to City Council.”
