PRESCOTT, AZ – April 4th we will be celebrating the three-year anniversary of GEM Environmental– a scientific non-profit headquartered in Prescott, which brings educational resources to underrepresented students through scholarships, internships, and field experience within the STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, math). GEM is actively engaged in the conservation of public lands and provides data collection services, environmental monitoring/maintenance, and remediation for potentially hazardous sites.

This event will be held at the Windsock Lounge in Prescott and feature raffle prizes, giveaways, a silent auction, a D.J., food and much more.

“We’re giving away some awesome prizes like gift baskets, sports memorabilia, hand-made silver jewelry from local artists, and so much more to celebrate our anniversary and raise money as part of Arizona Gives Day. There are many opportunities for people to win raffle tickets between now and April 4th,” noted Eric Welsh, Executive Director of GEM. “For example, you can win free raffle tickets if you make a $5 cash donation via www.azgives.org/GEMenvironmental.”

All proceeds benefit GEM’s Educational Programs – unique hands-on science programs for underserved students throughout Yavapai County. These programs provide engaging activities, including field trips where students apply their knowledge, broaden perspectives on conservation, and gain insight into managing public lands

Complete details about the event can be found at www.gemenvironmental.org or on Facebook @GEMenvironmental.
