Please gather your belongings and evacuate immediately. Shelter is set up at the Yavapai college gymnasium in Prescott if needed. The wind is quite ferocious and is pushing the fire in a north/north east direction.

This is causing YCSO to put areas in an immediate GO status prior to having a “ready or a set” designation. Everyone in the area of the Crooks Fire should be prepared and ready regardless of whether a formal evacuation status has been set.
However those north/north east of Breezy Pines should be prepared for the possibility that there may not be much notice if there is need for an immediate evacuation order. An ounce of prevention never hurt anyone!
