Crooks Fire Updates:
WATSON LAKE IS CLOSED to assist in fire suppression efforts. This includes the trails within the Watson Lake recreation area.
GOLDWATER LAKE IS ALSO CLOSED and in the restricted closure area set by the Prescott National Forest. The closure includes all surrounding trails and recreation areas.
LYNX LAKE IS IN THE RESTRICTED CLOSURE AREA, AND IS UNABLE TO BE ACCESSED.
The Crooks Fire is currently at 1600 acres. GROOM CREEK IS ON SET status. Residents should be prepared to evacuate on a moment’s notice.
The following areas are on GO and are evacuated:*Walker Rd south of Lynx Lake*Breezy Pines*Potato Patch*Kamp Kipa*Lookout Mountain*Mt. Tritle*Mtn. Pines Acres
A shelter has been set up the at Yavapai College gymnasium. A COMMUNITY MEETING will be held tonight (Wednesday, April 20th) at 6:30 PM. It will be at the Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. The meeting will be live streamed on the Prescott National Forest Facebook Page.
