As the outside temperature gets lower, the anticipation of basketball returning to YC gets higher. With the regular season right around the corner, the Yavapai College Athletics Department is excited to announce the schedules for both teams, in addition to ticket and streaming information.
After a few preseason scrimmages, the women’s basketball squad officially begins its season on November 3 in Twin Falls, Idaho, where it will take on the College of Southern Idaho at 5 p.m. at the Hilex Poly/Physician’s Immediate Care Tourney that CSI is hosting.
One week later, on Thursday, November 10, the Roughriders will play their first home game in Cottonwood, Arizona, at Mingus Union High School against ACU’s JV squad with tipoff set for 6 p.m. The first game in Prescott, Arizona, at Walraven Gymnasium, for YC will take place the next night (Friday, November 11) against Park University’s JV squad with tipoff set for 7:30 p.m.
Overall, the Roughriders will play 13 home games, including their game at Mingus Union High School. Of their 30 total games, 22 will be conference games with conference play beginning on November 22. The full schedule can be found here.
The men’s basketball squad officially begins its season on November 4 in Hobbs, New Mexico, where it will take on Midland College at 5 p.m. at the New Mexico Junior College Classic.
After the tournament, the Roughriders have their home-opener scheduled for Monday, November 14, at 7:30 p.m. in Prescott, Arizona, inside of Walraven Gymnasium against Otero College.
Like the women, the men have 13 home games and 30 games overall with 22 of those contests being conference games. The men will begin their conference season on November 22 as well and the full men’s basketball schedule can be found here.
Individual ticket prices for all home games for both teams are as follows: $7 for adults, $5 for non-YC students, veterans and senior citizens and FREE for YC students, staff and faculty and children ages six-and-under.
Season tickets can be purchased for $80. These will cover both men’s AND women’s games and will also cover games at Mingus Union High School.
For the return of basketball, YC Athletics will feature courtside seating for fans wishing to get as close to the action as possible! These seats will be available for $25-per-game. Fans wishing to purchase a season courtside seating pass can also do so for $250. In addition, two season courtside seating passes can be purchased for $400.

Can’t make it to a game? We’ve got you covered! Individual games will be available for $10 while monthly streaming passes will be $35 and annual streaming passes will be $75.
