Men’s Basketball Announces Five For 2022-23

Having already announced the first 10 players on its 2022-23 roster, the Yavapai College men’s basketball team is excited to announce its next five student-athletes that are continuing their athletic and academic careers at YC.

Ezekiel Spann

High School: Spann graduated from Renaissance Academy in June of 2021. While there, he helped lead his team to the state finals while averaging a double-double. 

Before Yavapai: Spann previously attended Williston State where he earned Second-Team All-Conference honors. 

Personal: Spann was born in Enterprise, Alabama, on October 22, 2002. While at YC, he plans to earn his associates degree. 

Mandell Campbell

High School: Campbell graduated from Conway High School in May of 2019. 

Before Yavapai: Campbell previously attended Eastern Oklahoma State College and Three Rivers Community College, before becoming a Roughrider. 

Personal: Campbell was born in Conway, Arkansas, on October 14, 2001. His hobbies include being with family and working out and while at YC, he plans to earn his associates degree. 

Aleksa Ristic

High School: Ristic graduated from Solid Rock Academy in May of 2021. While there, he averaged 31 PPG, 11 RPG and five APG en route to MVP, First-Five All-State, All-Region and All-State honors. 

Personal: Ristic was born in Kragujevac, Serbia, on February 26, 2002. He enjoys video games and has career aspirations of being an athletic therapist or nutritionist. 

Kenan Andrews

High School: Andrews graduated from Jordan High School in June of 2018. 

Before Yavapai: Andrews previously attended Hartnell College where he shot 40% from the three-point line during his freshman year. 

Personal: Andrews was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on March 24, 2000. His hobbies include bowling, hanging out with his friends and watching movies. In the future, he plans to earn a degree. 

Devon Bryant Jr. 

High School: Bryant Jr. graduated from Henry Ford High School in June of 2019. While there, he won three District Championships while averaging 22 PPG, seven RPG and six APG. 

Before Yavapai: Bryant Jr. previously attended Wayne County Community College and Muskegon Community College, before becoming a Roughrider. 

Personal: Bryant Jr. was born in Detroit, Michigan, on April 1, 2001. His hobbies include playing 2K and Warzone and listening to music. While at YC, he plans to earn his associates degree in sports medicine.
