24-Hour Vigil: Remembering Those Who Have Served

Starting on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 10am, Embry-Riddle’s Air Force ROTC Det 028 Honor Corps members will provide a 24-hour vigil at the Veterans of All Wars Memorial at the Courthouse Square in downtown Prescott, AZ, across from Whiskey Row on Montezuma St. The vigil can be viewed on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/events/980080080015239/

Following the vigil on Friday, November 11, the cadets will honor a Vietnam veteran by folding and presenting a flag at the parade stage on Cortez St. Detachment 028, as well as Embry-Riddle’s Army ROTC, will march in the Veteran’s Day Parade, which will start at 11am. This year’s parade theme is Vietnam Veterans: To Those That Served…and the 58,479 That Never Made It Home – Remember and Respect.

Detachment 028 Honor Corps is a division of the AFROTC Detachment 028 at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona. Honor Corps is responsible for representing AFROTCspirit, fidelity, and integrity through its three principal teams: Honor Guard, Rifle Drill Team, and Sabre Drill Team.

 Note: Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s campus will be closed on Friday in observance of Veterans Day.
