On Thursday, April 14, 2022, at about 7:55 pm, Prescott Valley Police were notified of fraudulent use of a credit card in progress at Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart employees pointed out a male subject leaving the store as the person involved, and after a short foot chase police apprehended the suspect. Evidence of the fraudulent credit card transactions was found in his possession, along with drugs and paraphernalia. The suspect, Phoenix resident 32-year-old Adam Lawrence Watson, was booked into Yavapai County Jail on multiple felony charges including Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card, Possession of a Narcotic Drug and Paraphernalia, resisting arrest, and arrest warrants for three felonies and one misdemeanor.
Further investigation revealed that the suspect burglarized a vehicle in the 3100 block of Main Street in the Town of Prescott Valley and was also involved in a road rage incident in 300 block of North Village Way in Dewey, Arizona.

The person involved has not yet been convicted of a crime and is presumed innocent. The presumption of innocence shall continue until such time that the person accused may be found guilty by a court of law.
