A man was arrested after he fired gunshots at a home in Cordes Lakes Saturday night. Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies received a call from a woman inside her home, claiming her neighbor was shooting at her home where her and her three children live.
Deputies arrived on the scene at around 10:30 p.m. and found 57-year-old Michael Basso in his backyard, who then retreated inside. Deputies were able to coax Basso out of his home and was arrested.

Additional searching of the home revealed multiple handguns and ammunition in the house, and well as casings in the backyard along the fence near the victim’s home. Basso was taken into custody and booked into the Camp Verde Jail on six counts of aggravated assault, six counts of endangerment, disorderly conduct, reckless discharge of a firearm, discharging a firearm at a residential structure and criminal damage.
