Jane Chapman, PA-C has dedicatedly served as Community Health Center of Yavapai’s Reproductive Health Program Manager for over a decade, meeting the reproductive health needs of some of the community’s most vulnerable people. Jane greets each day with a dazzling smile and a passion for her patients. Her presence will be missed by staff and patients a like at CHCY!

If there’s one thing to know about Jane Chapman professionally, it is she truly cares about her patients. Her career as a physician assistant has spanned over four-decades, with many of those years working in reproductive health. A close family member’s scare with cervical cancer catalyzed the pathway for Jane’s specialization in reproductive health, and her passion is still palpable.

Jane is always willing to see patients seeking reproductive health services, even those arriving hours late to their appointment and even those without an appointment, in an effort to ensure their reproductive health needs are met. Whether it is a scared teenager wanting to start on birth control, an LGBTQ+ patient needing STI testing, or a mom due for her well woman exam, Jane has been there to treat them all, providing the same exceptional care to each of them.

Many patients have referred to Jane as an ally as she addresses their needs with the care and dignity they deserve. She has broken down barriers to care for countless individuals and has helped shape reproductive health services within Yavapai County for almost 40-years.

Jane’s career is comparable to a quote from Mother Teresa- “We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.” For the over 1,000 patients treated by Jane every year, her drop equals an ocean.

Community Health Center of Yavapai thanks Jane Chapman for her years of service and dedication to the mission of the agency.
