CAR CRASH LEADS TO BURGLARY AND TWO ARRESTS

On Saturday, April 2, 2022, at approximately 5:30am Prescott Valley police officers were dispatched to a single vehicle car crash on Viewpoint Drive between Manley Drive and Roundup Drive. The vehicle was empty when the officers arrived, and it was evident that the vehicle had rolled several times before coming to rest.

Later that morning, two individuals came to the police station with obvious injuries and reported that they had been attacked and beaten while they were parked at Fain Park about 2:00am. While this investigation was being conducted, the individuals changed their stories and said they had been injured in a car wreck and had left the scene of the accident. They later admitted to entering the car owner’s home and stealing the vehicle. The accident occurred while they were joyriding.
