    Bumble Bee Fire Update

    Crews are currently working a wildfire in the which was spotted at approximately 9:44 this morning in the area of mile marker 4 on Bumblebee road.  It quickly grew from 35 acres to 200 acres moving in a northern direction fueled by very strong winds.

    Resources from Daisy Mountain Fire Department, the US Forest Service as well as up to 5 air tankers are combatting the flames at this time.  Yavapai County Sheriff’s Deputies and Jeep Posse have also been sent in the event of evacuations and road closures. 

    The blaze is within 1 mile of Bumblebee and 2 to 3 miles of Cleater. 

    A “Set” message has been sent to the residents in the areas of Bumblebee and Cleator.  Yavapai County Sheriff’s Deputies and the YCSO Jeep Posse are preparing for a possible evacuation of the Bumblebee area.
