Rubberized Chip Seal
Construction will begin April 11, 2022, and continue through July 5, 2022.
Please be advised that VSS International in conjunction with Yavapai County will be performing rubberized chip seal and fog seal operations on various roads and neighborhoods in Yavapai County. The areas include Iron Springs Road and Kirkland Valley Road in Prescott, Beaver Creek Road and Montezuma Lake Road in Lake Montezuma, and Verde Valley School Road in the Village of Oak Creek.
Construction work will include micro-milling of the existing asphalt and placing a 1/2’’ chip seal, fog seal and striping. The chip seal is a rapid moving construction method, so public impact should be minimal.
Construction will begin April 11, 2022, and continue through July 5, 2022. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times; however, motorists may encounter lane restrictions, reduced speeds, and flagging operations throughout the work zones. Motorists should expect minor delays and allow extra time to get through the construction area. Please follow all traffic control devices when travelling through the work zone.
