The Games

Baseball begins on Tuesday with a doubleheader at noon in Prescott, Arizona, at Roughrider Park where Yavapai is set to take on the Pima Community College Aztecs. After a few off days, the Roughriders then host the Cochise College Apaches at noon on Saturday. All four games will have live streaming and live stats available on GoRoughriders.com/Live

The Aztecs

Currently in fifth place in the ACCAC standings, Pima is 30-14 overall this season with a 17-11 mark in conference play. Last time out, the Aztecs swept No. 1-ranked Central Arizona College. Pima and Yavapai also split earlier this season on February 15 with YC taking game one 14-10 before falling 16-7 in game two.

The Apaches

Currently in third place in the ACCAC standings, Cochise is 33-13 overall this season with a 19-9 mark in conference play. Before heading to Prescott on Saturday, the Apaches will host Central on Tuesday. Cochise swept Yavapai earlier this season on February 19 with scores of 3-2 and 7-4.

The Roughriders

Yavapai falls in between the Aztecs and Apaches in the ACCAC standings at fourth place. With a split at Chandler-Gilbert and sweep of Scottsdale Post Grad last week, the Roughriders pushed their overall record to 29-12-1 and conference record to 17-9.

Player To Watch

Freshman righty Jackson Thomas has been lights out in his last three starts, earning the win in all three with five-or-more innings pitched and one-or-less runs allowed in each outing as well.

One Last Thing

10 of Yavapai’s final 12 regular-season games take place at Roughrider Park where the Roughriders have built a 15-1 record this season.
