3 TIME VERDE VALLEY METH DEALER SENTENCED TO 15 YEARS IN PRISON
Brian Michael Warner, 54, of Phoenix, has been sentenced to 15 years in the Arizona State Prison for the crimes of Transportation of Dangerous Drugs for Sale, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Dangerous Drugs, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Warner was sentenced on July 26, 2022, by the Honorable Michael R. Bluff of the Yavapai County Superior Court. A Yavapai County jury found Warner guilty of the crimes on April 15, 2022, after he failed to appear for his trial. Judge Bluff also forfeited $2,500.00 of the $5,000.00 bond due to Warner’s failure to appear, a condition of his release from jail pending the trial.
The case stems from a traffic stop conducted on March 11, 2020, after law enforcement noticed suspicious activity at the Circle K located at 700 W. Finnie Flat Road and subsequent traffic violations. Warner later admitted to law enforcement he travels between Phoenix and Camp Verde once a week to sell methamphetamine to people in the area. Tawny Dragos, a female passenger in the vehicle, plead guilty to the Sale or Transportation of Dangerous Drugs and was sentenced to five years prison on November 16, 2020.
Sheila Polk, Yavapai County Attorney, thanked the Camp Verde Marshal’s Office and the Arizona Department of Public Safety for their investigation that led to the couple’s arrest and convictions. “Taking those who deal this poison off our streets is a high priority for my office. I appreciate the partnership with law enforcement and the excellent work on the assigned prosecutor and that led to this successful prosecution and lengthy prison sentence.”
