2nd Annual Wildfire Safety Event

2nd Annual Wildfire Safety Event 05/14/2022

The Dewey-Humboldt Firewise Team would like to invite you out to our 2nd Annual “Don’t Get Burned” Wildfire Safety Event and Book Contest May 14th at Mortimer Farms from 10-2pm.

Empire Detail

Here is a little background…
DHFW is an NFPA  (National Fire Protection Agency) sponsored organization that works in the community to educate and to offer solutions/resources for “Survivable Space”. Basically we are a group of volunteers that work to help our community members clear land/debris, install reflective address signs (it’s dark out here), and we also install missing street signs for first responders (we do other things too, like secure grants…and more).

This year our event is again at Mortimer Farms (69/169) which they are graciously hosting us. The Farm will not charge that day for admission, as this is a free event for all. With a craft show, farm rides, and food…can’t go wrong there.

Since the fire season has started early and the #Crooksfire is still burning, we really hope you can make it out to the event. We would love for you to see what we are about and how we are fighting in our own way to help keep people alive through action and education.
Now, we understand this may not be the normal method of connecting, but we are willing to try the unconventional if it makes a difference even for one person reading an article about how to stay alive.
I have listed 3 places for you to learn more about us: web, FB, and IG.

Also, we partnered with the Yavapai Youth and wrote a book…

@FirewiseDeweyHumboldt (FB)

@dhfirewise (IG)

Let us know if you have any questions or if this was totally the wrong way to connect (live, learn, cry later).
